Education
- Ph.D., Geology, Hydrogeology concentration, The State University of New York at Buffalo (Pending 2008)
- B.S., Archeology with a minor in Earth and Planetary Sciences, University of New Mexico (May 1998)
- Delineating pathways of water within the ground water/stream water interface, can lead a more accurate understanding of residence times within a watershed. This is important for water resources management of well head catchment areas, contaminant remediation and ecosystem monitoring. Using high resolution temperature data to calibrate a coupled water balance and heat transport model can distinguish portions of streams that have an increased cycling of ground water and surface water.
- Other current areas of interest are the links between submarine ground water discharge and coral growth, and the effects of paleoclimate on prehistoric populations.
- He has worked for various national, state and private entities as an archeologist, biologist, and environmental consultant.
